Regeneration 2020

SAVE THE DATE:

Regeneration is the Central Territory’s young adult retreat for ages 18-29 at Camp Wonderland. The dates for this year are February 14-16, 2020.

This year’s theme is “Revival” with guest speakers Carole Voisey and Michael Collins.  Music worship is lead by Osby Berry as well as prayer ministry lead by ConnectUp.

Regeneration is a really special time of connection, fellowship, and worship.  PLEASE join us this year as we are all eager for revival.

Cost is only $50! The Metro Division is excited to offer 30 FULL scholarships for first time attendees and 20 HALF scholarships for return attendees!

Commissioning 2017 Afterglow: KB, Social Club Misfits and GAWVI

On Saturday night, June 10th.. THE AFTERGLOW.. is a concert with GAWVI, Social Club Misfits, and KB! The concert will begin at 9:30PM inside the SEARS Centre Arena. Cost will be $10. That’s right, $10! Doors will open for you at 8:45PM and you will pay $10 at the door!

This is a concert held by The Salvation Army at our annual event, Commissioning/Congress.

It’s hard to believe, but the 2016 Young Adult Retreat has been in the books for over a week now!  God was incredibly faithful, and we hope you who attended experienced the Lord in a powerful way, and experienced genuine community as well.  By way recapping this awesome weekend, we have a few things to share with you…

REGENERATION 2017

Regeneration 2017 – the young adult conference for the Salvation Army’s Central Territory – is going to be awesome. The theme is Reconciliation, and the guests are Dr. Cornell West, Pastor Steve Carter, Captain Lisa Barnes, and worship will be led by Christian Lewis. You won’t want to miss what will happen from February 17-19 at #SARegen17.

On Friday, November 4 Lt. AJ Zimmerman talked about the theme Angry God. What is our perception of God? What do we think he sees when he looks at us? Do we think he’s mad at us? Do we think he’s disgusted with us? Or do we know him to be accepting, loving and gracious?

2017 Summer Mission Team Apps

The World Missions Department is pleased to share that the applications for Summer Mission Team (SMT) 2017 are now available.

  • SMT is a leadership development program which invites young people into a deeper relationship with the Lord through participation in a seven-week team missions experience.
  • SMT is available to applicants ages 18-28. Applicants must be 18 by June 12, 2017.
  • All applications and endorsements/recommendations will be completed online this year at centralmissions.org/smt2017. A completed application will include:
    • Online application
    • Corps Officer Endorsement
    • DYS Endorsement & DC (or Divisional Representative) Endorsement
    • Recommendation #1 – completed by a Teacher or Employer
    • Recommendation #2 – completed by a Spiritual Mentor
    • Recommendation #3 – completed by an adult non-relative who can comment on the applicant’s character, spiritual life and work ethic.
  • It is the responsibility of each applicant to distribute endorsement/recommendation forms and follow up with the World Missions Department to make sure all application materials have been received by the February 22, 2017 deadline.
  • The SMT announcement will be made by Friday, March 3. Team members will need to report for SMT March orientation at THQ in Hoffman Estates from March 17-19.

Lt. Betsy Clark and the Tri-Cities CROP Hunger Walk

Hunger is an issue that is very important to Lt. Betsy Clark. She’s walking in the Tri-Cities CROP Hunger Walk and needs your help.

Your donations will provide assistance for hungry people in the St. Charles community through The Salvation Army Food Pantry and around the world by supporting Church World Service’s life-saving programs. Join with her to work together to solve this global challenge.
