I just wanted to give a few shout outs from the OBT Prayer & Praise Night on Friday:
1. To all of you who came. There were 150! It was great to praise the Lord, search the scriptures, testify and focus on the Parable of the Sower together.
2. To those of you who became members of the Seed Growing Club. I’m excited to see and hear what the Lord will do because you accepted the challenge to be as faithful as the Sower in Mark 4:1-20. Remember that the point is not the birds or the ground or the sun or the thorns but the faithfulness of the Sower and the perseverance of the Word. Also remember to plant the seeds that you received on Friday immediately. We want you to bring whatever is growing to the next Prayer and Praise Night (in eight weeks).
3. To Lisa and Ev Jordan, Viki Payton, Sue Knickerbocker, Majors David and Miriam Gorton and the rest of the OBT Youth Ministry Team. Thank your interest in the youth of the Division and for welcoming us at your Corps. You took great care of us. Thanks for the pretzels and brownies!
4. To Mr. Hood who again brought a killer sound system to the Corps, set it up and made everything sound good.
The next Prayer and Praise Night will be at 7pm on Friday, April 21st at the Mayfair Community Church AKA The Korean Corps (5040 N. Pulaski Rd. Chicago, IL 60630-2788). If you don’t have anything going on at your Corps that night, it would be great to see you.
