On Saturday, April 28th, Kyle Madison—a Project AIM participant—came home after work to find a man running out of his apartment building. When he walked inside, he saw on the bottom floor of his building, two floors below his apartment, another man lying in a pool of blood in the hallway. After running upstairs to call the police, Kyle went back down to find that a man named Jake, who was delivering pizza, had been shot in the face. The police arrived and Kyle gave them information until they left at about 4:00am that morning. No one else was hurt and police think that they have since found the shooter. However, the man who was shot, who was someone that Kyle, Jon Taube and Jon Bukiewicz had had a relationship with, did not recover from the shooting and died on Sunday from his wounds.
Had Kyle arrived home a few minutes earlier, police say he might had been shot and had he arrived a few minutes later Jake would have had no chance of survival. Please pray for Jake’s friends and family as they grieve, for Kyle that the Lord would allow him to process this situation, for the Tanglewood community as they deal with this violent situation and for local police as they track down the killer.
If you would like to contact Kyle directly and assure him of your prayers, feel free to send him an email.
