Today we went to Blue Island for the first time this month. When we woke up we had breakfast and had cell groups. During cell groups we talked about Saul becoming Paul and revolutions that have happened in our lives and I talked about how after my depression I was totally different. Anyway, cell groups ended and I worked on my devotional that I was asked to do before lunch with the seniors. It was just basically about what God has taught me so far. When we got to Blue Island we went straight into the dining hall to have lunch with the seniors and I gave my devotional and it was evident that people got something out of it even though I was really nervous. And it was just so great to get to know the three ladies we sat with. Their names were Ruth, Lois and Roberta. I personally talked to Roberta more than the other two. They were all very sweet ladies. After they left we helped clean up the tables. And then we were put to work. We did door to door evangelism handing out flyers and I was kind of nervous but it went well. It was great bonding time for the Band of Survivors. When we got back I saw Rebecca Lewis and I told her how great God has been to me considering the people he put in BOS and in my life, and also that it was going really good and that I am really excited for the rest. Then it was my prayer time(at three) which was weird because I had no idea where the prayer room and Steve had to show me where it was. After my prayer shift Nate showed me where the gym was for open gym ministries but the guys were playing basketball and I didn’t want to play so I tried to find the girls but found Karissa instead, who ended up taking me to the grocery store. God uses our time in weird ways sometimes but it’s all for His glory. So when we got back, we ate dinner which the Polancos provided. Then off to In-fyuz which is like a bible study for middle schoolers and high schoolers and I was really good. Amanda Keene can TEACH!!! Then we had some time to just hang out which was fun. Me and Arielle spent twenty minutes laughing about stuff that didn’t even really make any sense. My group played candyland and it was really fun because Angelina won three times and then Bram beat her. Then we were bombarded with puppets which was hilarious. On the van ride home we began signing each other’s survival guides and it was like the last day of school in elementary school. Instantaneously it felt as though we were all united and it was great. Then it was off to bed because I was exhausted! Shout out to all my Aurora folks back home especially to Donna Ries and Capt. Ramiro because it was their birthday this day but we’re a little behind!
