Did you know that the Youth and Music Departments at DHQ passed out gifts to 7,026 children at 32 schools and performed 36 assemblies, all in just 3 days? Don’t believe us? Here’s the proof: http://bit.ly/hyYw7s
This has been a long tradition in the Metropolitan Division, and one that goes a long way for the children of Chicago. The gifts are usually a Salvation Army pencil pack-including crayons, pencils, a ruler, a pencil sharpener, and an eraser-and because about 95% of the children in Chicago’s Public Schools are in low income families, these gifts are warmly received.
