Dear Metro Youth,

The Elgin Corps is hosting a Prayer and Praise Night next Friday, February 17th starting at 7pm. It will be a night of fellowship, prayer, praise and teaching for the youth of the Division.

The focus of the night will be on prayer. We will pray in a diverse community of our peers and will be guided by the Scriptures as we explore different types of prayer (confession, intercession, repentance, and petition). After an extensive time in prayer we will transition into worship which will be spirited and will feature many old Army hymns. Nate Irvine—who just returned from studying abroad in Costa Rica—will testify about his trip and there will also be a time of open testimony in which you can share what the Lord is doing in your life and at your Corps (so be sure to “get to the God stuff”).

Here’s what you should bring:
-Your Bibles; there may be a “sword drill”.
-A testimony (let’s hear some new voices).
-$2 to help pay for the snack (after the meeting).

Here’s what you should know:
-You may want to car pool or organize transportation with your Officer/Youth Leader/Friends. It’s better that way.

Hope to see you there.
