What up Metro Youth!

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances out of our control, there has been a change in the location for the Prayer & Praise Night on October 14, 2011. Lts. David and Shannon Martinez from the Des Plaines Corps have been very gracious and are stepping up to the task of hosting instead.

To recap, here’s the need to know info:

What: Prayer & Praise Night
When: October 14, 2011, 7PM
Where: Des Plaines Corps

Here’s the original information that was sent out, except with the updated location info.

I hardly know where to begin! God did some amazing things at the first Prayer & Praise Night of the season, and I know He has even more things in store as we seek Him. Amen?

We are very excited to announce to you the details of the next Prayer & Praise Night of the year. See below, and let us know if you have any questions!

What are Prayer & Praise Nights?
Prayer & Praise Nights are monthly youth worship services that target High School and College age youth. P&PN’s encourage youth to grow in their relationship with the Lord and challenge them to “win the world for Jesus” in a way that is relevant to their place in life. Youth are also being discipled in the areas of worship warfare, prayer, and Bible study.

When is the next Prayer & Praise Night?
On Friday, October 14, 2011, at 7:00pm, the Des Plaines Corps will be hosting the next Prayer & Praise Night of the 2011-2012 season.

Who’s the special guest?
Our special guest preacher for the night is Anwar Smith. Anwar has been working at Divisional Headquarters as the Director of Corps Community Centers, and is an awesome guy. He’s a huge football fan, and a Bears fan at that. BONUS!

What is the theme for this Prayer & Praise Night?
The theme is evangelism. The focus will be on explaining what evangelism is and how to do it. This way youth will not only be challenged to evangelize, but we will be given the tools to do it.

Here’s what you need to bring:
