What up Metro Youth!

God really moved at the Des Plaines Prayer & Praise Night as we learned about the necessity of evangelism from Anwar Smith. Speaking of which, if you were there, have you been sharing your faith? If so, let us know!

We are very excited to announce to you the details of the next Prayer & Praise Night of the year. See below, and let us know if you have any questions!

What are Prayer & Praise Nights?
Prayer & Praise Nights are monthly youth worship services that target High School and College age youth. P&PN’s encourage youth to grow in their relationship with the Lord and challenge them to “win the world for Jesus” in a way that is relevant to their place in life. Youth are also being discipled in the areas of worship warfare, prayer, and Bible study.

When is the next Prayer & Praise Night?
On Friday, November 11, 2011, the Blue Island Corps will be hosting the next Prayer & Praise Night of the 2011-2012 season. It’s the first P&PN on an island!!!

Who’s the special guest?
Our special guest preacher for the night is Sherry Johnson. Sherry works for the Chicago Kroc Center with her husband, Vincent, as a Corps Helper. She’s an awesome lady, and will bring the Word in power for sure.

What is the theme?
The theme for this P&PN is prayer. Prayer is the single way we as humans can talk to the God of the universe. It’s how we’re connected to Him. If we don’t know how to pray, our relationship with God will die. At the Blue Island P&PN, Sherry Johnson will explain what prayer is, and will practically explain how we can pray to God in many different ways.

Here’s what you need to bring:
