Are you aware of all The Salvation Army, your church, did last year? I know that sounds extremely conceited, but it’s not meant that way.
This isn’t a “pat yourself on the back” video, or a time to think we’re super awesome and better than everyone else. No. The idea behind a video like this is to realize the needs in our community, and to see the various ways you and I can help. When you watch this video, don’t think numbers, think people, think souls. When you watch, don’t think programs, think opportunities to advance the Kingdom of Jesus on Earth; real opportunities that we can be a part of. So, when I ask, “Are you aware of all the Army did last year?”, I’m not really asking if you know the stats. I’m asking if you know the countless ways you can be a part of God’s change in Chicago. Do you realize how much there is to be done, and what you can do to help accomplish God’s mission?
