Displace Me was an experiential event meant to simulate what life is like for those living in Northern Uganda’s displaced camps. Participants took part in the event by creating, decorating and sleeping in huts, distributing food (saltines) and water rations, writing letters to elected state officials and praying for peace.

The event was about taking action for justice and peace, about being willing to sacrifice creature comforts in order to better understand to condition of those who have no choice. Over 67,000 people signed up to attend the event that was held in 15 cities across the United States.

We has a Salvation Army camp set up—which was totally sweet—and had about 35 people as a part of our SA group. It was a great time and a wonderful experience.
